``Every soul will taste death. Then to Us will you be returned.``
The Funeral & Hardship account is a service initiated by IICSA to support the vulnerable and less fortunate in our community. As Muslims, we are required to support each other at all times, particularly, the hard times. Allah says in the Qur’an: “And co-operate in righteousness and piety…” (5:2)
IICSA’s Funeral and hardship program aims to cover the following:
- Funeral costs(for those families who cannot afford to bury their loved ones)
- Migrants and new arrivals
- Struggling families
- Disadvantaged individuals
(Sahih al-Bukhari)
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (p.b.u.h) said,
"Whoever attends the funeral procession till he offers the funeral prayer for it, will get a reward equal to one Qirat, and whoever accompanies it till burial, will get a reward equal to two Qirats." It was asked, "What are two Qirats?" He replied, "Like two huge mountains."
